Modi announces project for homeless poor

Chief minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, the second day of the 5th annual Chintan Shibir, promised the launch of a pilot project for the homeless poor in one village of every taluka. District administration will construct colonies for them under the project. He also announced a long-distance education project for students of class V from February 5 under the e-gram project. Modi also asked officials of the state to lay greater focus on taluka development.

Modi also inaugurated the website of the state IAS officers’ association and a quarterly community magazine, Spectrum, of the IAS officers’ wives’ association and also presented the best collector and district development officer of the state awards to Rajiv Topno, RC Meena, Harit Shukala, Shahmina Hussain, Ashwini Kumar, MB Parmar, Miliand Torwane and Ajay Bhadu. Each of them received citation & cash prize of Rs31,000.
