Pak national illegally staying in India for 8 years arrested

A Pakistan national, who was illegally staying in India for the last eight years and had managed to get a ration card, was arrested by immigration officials while he was trying to board the trans-border Samjhauta Express.
 
Jagdish was arrested at the Attari Railway station on February 9 night on charges of not possessing valid travel documents and was remanded to juducial custody by a court.
 
The Pakistani national hailing from Sindh was living at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh for the last eight years with his wife and two sons. The validity of his passport and visa expired long ago, officials said.
 
During questioning, Jagdish revealed that had he had managed to get a ration card, PAN card besides a driving license. He had set up a stationary shop and his wife and two sons were still staying in Bhopal and looking after his business.

Jagdish claimed he was going back to Pakistan to meet his married daughter who is settled there.
        
Immigration authorities also arrested two Indian nationals Asif Ali and Zubeda Khatun for allegedly trying to travel on fake visa.

They were arrested when they produced their passport to Custom and Immigration officials to board the Samjhauta Express train. The two were also sent to judicial custody.
