RSS general secretary writes preface to Modi's book

RSS general secretary Mohan Bhagwat has written the preface of the Marathi edition of a book authored by Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, scheduled for release in Pune on Sunday.

Jyotipunj, written by Modi in Gujarati was translated in Marathi by Ravindra Dani, associate editor of daily Tarun Bharat of Nagpur.

The 278-page book is about Modi's reminisces about several RSS leaders who have worked in Gujarat and their impact on him.

Modi, in the book, has written about several RSS leaders of Gujarat in whose contact the chief minister had come over the years.

Former Maharashtra chief minister Manohar Joshi will be the chief guest at the book release function which will also be addressed by senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde, as also Modi.

Dani said the foreword has been written by Bhagwat especially for the Marathi version and it was not there in the original Gujarati edition.
