Punjab police arrested a budding physician here on Wednesday, for allegedly enacting "Munnnabhai" in real life by impersonating a youth and appearing for him in a medical entrance examination held in Punjab.
   
Harsh Kumar Upadhyaya, a third year student at Chattrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University (CSMMU) was arrested by
Faridkot police on impersonation charges in connection with a case lodged last year, a senior police officer said.

Police said that in 2008, Harsh Kumar, who hails from Mugalsarai, impersonated an youth aspiring to get admission in a medical course and appeared for him in an entrance examination held in Punjab, they said.
   
During an investigation carried out by the Punjab police, name of Harsh Kumar cropped up, they said, adding that a warrant was issued against the CSMMU student recently.

A team of Faridkot police reached here on Tuesday, the officer said, adding that a few more persons were likely to be detained in this connection.
