Bangladesh Cricket Board has requested its Pakistan counterpart to play an additional Twenty20 match during their tour in March.

"The Bangladesh board has asked us to play five one-day internationals and two Twenty20 matches in March and we have accepted their request," a Pakistan Cricket Board officer said on Tuesday.

Pakistan would now most probably tour Bangladesh from March 12 after the completion of their home Test series against Sri Lanka.

The officer said efforts are also on to host a tournament in end-March at the Dubai Sports City, which is set to open later this month.

The PCB has a three-year contract with the Dubai Sports City for around USD 6 million to play a tournament there each year until 2011.

The officer said Dubai Sports City had planned a triangular one-day series with Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

"But they have to get back to us with the details," he said.

"We have a hectic schedule of international matches until the Twenty20 World Cup in England this year which is a welcome change from 2008 when we were short of international matches. If India had come for a full tour in January it would have
been a big year for us," the officer said.
