Charred body of newly married woman found near her house

Charred body of newly married woman was found under mysterious circumstances near her house at Kanhangad on Saturday, police said. Police could not ascertain the motive behind the suspected suicide,the sources said.

Janaki(32), who got married around three months back, lived at Manikoth.

A plastic container with Kerosene oil was found near the body. The police are exploring the theory that the Janaki, who was  a beedi worker, would have died setting herself afire after dousing with Kerosene.

The woman had come to her home from her husband's residence at nearby Uduma some two days back, police said.

They did not suspect any kind of disputes between the husband and wife, police added.
