Want to spread the message of communal harmony and religious tolerance, don't talk, just walk.

This is what Bangalore-based Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam has decided to do. It plans to organise an all-religion 1000-km walk from Kanyakumari to Bidadi in Bangalore from January 12 to February 16.

"One thousand people will walk the distance. Our intention is also to inspire the locals to do away with at least one vice in their life," Dhyanapeetam founder Paramahamasa Nithyananda told reporters in Chennai on Monday.

The participants would spread the message of communal harmony, "at a time when religion-based terrorism is affecting the country."

"We have invited leaders of various religions, including Islam, Christianity and Parsi to take part in the walk named Kodikkan Darisana Ratha Pada Yatra," he said.
