Husband murders his sixty five years old wife

AMRITSAR: A husband allegedly killed his wife at village Wadala Johal nearly twenty kilometers away from the Amritsar town, police said on Sunday.

A criminal case of murder had been registered at Police Station Jandiala against Sardool Singh (70) for murdering his sixty five year old wife Soma.

The case was registered on the statement of Harbans Singh brother of Soma.

Telling about the reason behind the cold blood murder, police said that most of the time both husband and wife indulged in petty dispute and every time they scuffle with each other.

The accused was married with Soma nearly forty years back.

Soma was hacked to death allegedly by her husband in a fit of anger with sharp edged spade and she died on the spot on Saturday night.

The couple had five children and all are married.

However the alleged accused has been arrested and his interrogation is still under process, said Police.
