Chidambaram a better Home Minister: Brinda

NEW DELHI: "You are a much better Home Minister," a CPI(M) member on Thursday said in the Rajya Sabha complimenting P Chidambaram.
    
The remark was made by Brinda Karat after some of her suggestions on the CrPC Bill were accepted by the Home Minister.
    
Chidambaram appreciated the CPI(M) member's knowledge of criminal matters compared to financial matters, leading to peals of laughter.
    
Karat's party had been critical of Chidambaram when he headed the Finance Ministry.
