IRP constable commits suicide in Mizoram

AIZAWL: An India Reserve Police constable, who was deployed here for an election duty, on Sunday committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at Luangmual in the district.
    
A resident of Nagaland, the victim was deployed in Mizoram on poll duty in the election-bound state.
    
However, the reason for his suicide is not yet known and the state police has launched an investigation into the matter. 
Meanwhile, arrangements were being made to send the body to his native place in Nagaland.
    
A company of the Naga IRP was being sent by the Centre for election duty on Mizoram-Manipur border areas, officials said.
