KOLKATA: A local court on Monday admitted the revision prayer of industrialist Ashok Todi, his brother Pradip and their relative Anil Sarogi in connection with the Rizwanur Rehman death case.

They prayed to the chief judge of the city civil court to stay the non-bailable arrest warrant issued against them by the trial court.

Trial court judge Murari Mohan Ghosh fixed up November 10 as the next date of hearing.

The judicial magistrate had issued the arrest warrant after the trio did not appear before the court on October 27, 2008.

Meanwhile three police officers -- Ajay Kumar, Sukanti Chakrabarty and Krishnendu Dey -- appeared before the court and they were asked to appear again on November 10.

All the three are on bail.

Rizwanur married Ashok Todi's daughter Priyanka in August last year, but his body was found on a railway track on September 21, 2007. A CBI enquiry showed that Rizwanur, under police pressure to leave his wife who ultimately left him, committed suicide.

All the accused were charged with abatement to suicide.
