Sneha Ullal is ready to strike back with two back-to-back releases

Sneha Ullal got noticed for her cute act in Lucky, a film that saw her romancing Salman Khan, around three years back. Post this big break, Sneha has almost faded away into the oblivion. However, she made her comeback into films this year by starring in two big budget south Indian films and is now ready to try her luck in Bollywood again with two films lined up for release. Sneha says, “I have learnt my lesson. I was too young to get into acting (she was only 18 when she did Lucky). I was not trained and not prepared to take on the other things that come along with acting. I did not pay heed to my PR. I spoke my mind and that made things bad for me in the industry. People thought I was arrogant and my feet were not on the ground. The issues went out of hand. I have prepared myself for these two years that I have been out of the industry. It was a conscious move.”

She adds: “Acting was never a problem for me but I gained a bad reputation and I couldn’t take it. I took a break, went South and did some very good films. Both my films there have been hits. I owe a lot to that industry. Now I’m ready to handle things in Bollywood. I have Kaash Mere Hote and Click releasing in quick succession. You can say this is my comeback in the industry.”

Sneha says that the Aishwarya look-alike tag which the industry gave her after her first film didn’t help her acting career either.

“The tag was great. I was said to be as beautiful as Aishwarya Rai. Who would mind that? But for my career, it was very bad. The word spread so fast that people started thinking I was a carbon copy. Such tags don’t help at all,” she says.

The svelte actress adds that she is expecting her new Bollywood films to do well.
“I hope my films do well. It is important for me to work hard and try to deliver
the best performance every time I act.”
