NEW DELHI: Days after the tall claims by the CBI in solving the mysterious murder of Aarushi Talwar fell flat, the agency has now started re-investigating the case and have formed a small three-member team.

Sources in the agency said the main job of the sleuths was to go through the findings of the earlier investigations and find out if the earlier team had left loopholes in the probe.
Though the agency had claimed to solve the case within six weeks of taking charge, all the three accused, Krishna, Raj Kumar and Vijay Mandal, who were arrested on the basis of scientific evidences, were let off by the court as the CBI failed to file chargesheet against the accused.

The agency had arrested the three accused on the basis of narco-analysis, fingerprints and mobile phone records of the three accused, as the agency had not found any eyewitness to the crime.

“The job of the team is to find out whether the investigating team had left loopholes in the cases because of which the three accused were let off. We will also try to corroborate the findings of the earlier investigations,” said a senior official.
