MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Karisma Kapur, who will don the role of a judge in the forthcoming season of reality dance show 'Nach Baliye', said the decision to take up the show was an easy one for her.
With lines between the big screen and the small one blurring and almost blending together, the choice was an easy one, the actress said.
"The gap between films and television has reduced. All my colleagues, including Akshay Kumar are doing television shows.
So, when this was offered it did not take much of my time to decide," said Kapur, who last made a small screen appearance in the television series 'Karishma: A Miracle of Destiny'.
"Dancing has always been a passion. This is something I have not done before, so it is exciting. Maybe I am prepared for it, maybe I am not. But I know that when I judge, I want to be fair and honest," she said.
Karisma will share the judge's panel with choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan and actor Arjun Rampal.
"It was very remarkable to see Supriya-Sachin perform in the first season of Nach Baliye," the actress said on the couple who won many a hearts during the first season of the dance show.
It is interesting to see the relationship between couples grow and develop during the course of a show, as is the format of Nach Baliye where real-life celebrity couples shake a leg, she said.
