German girl case: Two suspects surrender

Two suspects allegedly involved in the molestation and abduction of a German girl surrendered before a local court which remanded them to police custody till October three.

CHANDIGARH: Two suspects allegedly involved in the molestation and abduction of a German girl surrendered on Wednesday before a local court which remanded them to police custody till October three.
     
Harpreet Singh alias Dalli, said to be a key accused who was arrested yesterday in Ambala, was also remanded to police custody till October three.
     
As Dalli was produced before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Kanchan Mahi here, Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukhi and Manveer Singh alias Jolly surrenderd before the CJM.
     
After arguments from both sides, the court sent all the three to three-day police custody.
     
Manveer's counsel submitted an application in the court alleging police had "forcibly and illegaly" seized a licenced
weapon from his house in Samalkha village in Ambala district to implicate him.
      
Pankaj Punia, another suspect in the case, was nabbed on Monday.
     
One more accused Sompal is still at large and police said they were zeroing on him and he would likely to be caught
soon.
