Home Ministry monitoring situation in Gujarat

NEW DELHI: The Union Home Ministry was on Monday night closely monitoring the situation arising out of an explosion in Modasa town of Gujarat's Sabarkantha district, in which one person was killed and six others were injured.
    
Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta was in touch with senior officials of Gujarat government and the police authorities there, a Home Ministry spokesperson said.
    
The Ministry appealed to the people to maintain calm and guard against rumor.
