NEW DELHI: The Congress on Thursday held Bharatiya Janata Party's senior leader LK Advani and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi responsible for "indigenous terrorism" in the country.

"The BJP is trying to project L.K. Advani and Narendra Modi as faces of anti-terror though they are responsible for indigenous terrorism in the country," Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari said.

Tiwari was speaking in the context of BJP's anti-terrorism rally to be organised at Ajmal Khan Park near Karol Bagh blast site here. Both the leaders will visit the blast site before addressing the rally.

"Young people in the country have drifted towards terror activities because of injustice and radicalism. The foundation of injustice was laid by the BJP during Babri mosque demolition in 1992 followed by the Mumbai riots in 1993," Tiwari said.

"The second injustice came with Gujarat riots in 2002 and miscarriage in bringing those guilty to law books," he added.
