NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday visited a hospital here and met some of those injured in the serial blasts.

The prime minister spent 10 minutes at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta and Delhi Police Commissioner Y.S. Dadwal accompanied him.

Twenty-nine people were undergoing treatment at the RML Hospital and four of them - three unidentified - were said to be in a critical condition.

Hospital sources said the prime minister met and spoke to the relatives and those injured in the five bomb blasts that ripped through the national capital on Saturday.

Most of those brought to the RML Hospital were injured in the blasts at Connaught Place, Barakhamba Road and Karol Bagh.

The police and people had wheeled in 69 injured people to the RML Hospital in the heart of the city.

While eight were declared dead on arrival, 31 were discharged after first-aid. One person died later in the night on Saturday.

United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Dikshit also met the injured in the hospital on Saturday night.

At least 21 people were killed in the five explosions.
