RANCHI: Equating present day terrorists with Hitler, Mussolini and Mao, the RSS chief, K C Sudarshan, on Sunday said the brutal and merciless acts of terrorists reflected how weak had been their upbringing which was devoid of values and morals.

"Upbringing of a child  traverses through importance of unity, knowledge, values and morals. But  terrorists grow up without learning any of these aspects, turning them into merciless and brutal being", Sudarsan said while addressing a function organized by 'Seva Bharati' here.

Though not mentioning Saturday's serial blast in Delhi, Sudarshan expressed anger at the terrorists for targeting innocents and not even sparing children.

Claiming how women had been given equal opportunities in India in comparison to the western societies for decades, Sudarshan said "Matru-shakti inculcates essence of unity, and the recent Amarnath Shrine Board agitation was one of the examples.... where women took equal responsibiity to help get back the allotted land for the Board and forcing the administration to bow to their demands".

Criticising the Pope for 'interfering' in matters beyond his borders in the wake of violence in Orissa following the August 23 killing of Laxamnananda Saraswati at Kandhmal, Sudarshan alleged that he was eliminated because certain people could not stand the good work carried out by him during the last forty years.

"The government should have asked the Pope not to meddle with our affairs", he said.
