NEW DELHI: The dreaded blueline bus here on Wednesday claimed another life--that of a 15-year-old school student--after which students of the school went on the rampage attacking 50 vehicles and beating up the driver of the killer vehicle.
    
Sanchit Gupta, a Class X student of HMDAV school in Darya Ganj, was run over by the blueline bus after he fell from another bus in which he was travelling.
    
The accident took place near Shastri Nagar metro station at around 7:45 a.m., a senior police official said.
    
Sanchit was hanging on to the back of the bus when he fell, the official said, adding another blueline bus which was trying to overtake ran over him.
    
The boy, whose father Manish Gupta works in a private company and mother Sunita is a school teacher, died on the spot.
    
Other students, who were waiting for bus in the locality, rushed to the spot and started attacking buses, mostly blueline buses, which came to the area.
    
The students broke window panes and punctured tyres, the official said adding about 50 buses were damaged in the incident.
    
They also beat up driver of the bus Karamveer who was admitted to Guru Tegh Bahadur hospital.
    
The official said they have not arrested any student in connection with the violence.
    
A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
