Man kills family, self

NAGPUR: Fed up of financial woes, a man killed his wife, two children and jumped to death himself, police said on Friday.
 
Rajesh Deshmukh (34) was a small time businessman but suffered financial losses due to betting on lotteries, police said.
 
Deshmukh first strangled his wife Sheetal (28) yesterday and fled from the place, they said.
 
A group of villagers saw Deshmukh first throwing his elder son Vedant (10) in the Kanhan river in Mouda about 30 kms from here. Later he jumped into the river along with his 10-month old son Devang, they added.
 
Deshmukh had written a note stating his situation and the decision to end their lives, police said.
 
Police have not yet been able to recover the bodies.
