Case filed against Gujjar leader who asked for Raje's head

Rajasthan police has registered a case against Gujjar leader Choudhary Virendra Singh for allegedly announcing a bounty of Rs five crore for the person 'beheading' CM Vasundhra Raje.

MUZAFFARNAGR: Rajasthan police has registered a case against Gujjar leader Choudhary Virendra Singh for allegedly announcing a bounty of Rs five crore for the person 'beheading' Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje.
 
Singh, also the vice president of All India Gujjar Mahasabha, had reportedly made the announcement at a public meeting in Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh during last month's violent agitations by Gujjars demanding Schedule Tribe status for the community.
 
Rajasthan police has also started investigations in the case.
 
"A police team led by a deputy SP came here and collected evidence in connection with this case," DIG of Saharanpur range Vishvjit Mahapatra said.
