Sukhbir instructs party leaders

CHANDIGARH: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President and Member Parliament Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday said that no party leaders will be allowed to take the help of Congress party to become a Chairman or Vice Chairman of any Panchayat Samiti or Zila Parishad.

"If any body accepts the Congress support, he will have to face strict disciplinary action", warned Sukhbir.

He said that a two-member committee comprising senior party leaders Gurdev Singh Badal and Sewa Singh Sekhwan has been constituted to check such anti party acitivities.

The committee has been  advised to report any such activity to the party head office with in a week and further action will be taken on the basis of this report.

He also clarified that even in the election of Sarpanches and Presidents of various Municipal Committiees, no one will be allowed to take the help of Congress party.
