In latest post Union minister gives his unabashed opinion on the ‘family feud’
Union railway minister Lalu Prasad feels that “North Indians are bearing the brunt of the fight between the two cousins, basically a family dispute”.
In the latest post on his blog on Friday, Prasad gives his unabashed opinion on the Thackeray family feud and the north-south divide in the country. With several celebrities like Big B and two of the Khans from the film fraternity using blogs to make their opinions public, joining of maverick Prasad in the bandwagon comes as no surprise.
“Raj Thackeray and his uncle, Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb, follow a narrow political ideology. The recent attack on north Indians was the result of the fight between Raj and Uddhav,” he writes. “Both of them want to establish supremacy and occupy the position once held by Balasaheb. Raj is fighting for his political survival, after parting ways with the Shiv Sena.”
The minister from Bihar who once famously proclaimed his intention of performing Chhat puja in Maharashtra feels that “They (Shiv Sena and MNS) are following a divisive policy to gain political mileage. Such divisive politics would result in the disintegration of the country.”
The common man in Maharashtra does not approve of this, writes Prasad adding that even the Constitution prohibits such policies and so does the Supreme Court.
“Such narrow-minded politics is no doubt, a serious threat to the nation’s unity.
Such people do not realise they are causing harm to themselves than achieving any goal,” he advises.
