Pregnant woman murdered by husband

CHENNAI: A seven-month pregnant woman was allegedly murdered by her husband here on Saturday.
    
Police said Amutha (33), succumbed to her injuries at government general hospital here after her husband hit her head with an iron rod.
    
Later, the man, who slit his throat to commit suicide fearing arrest, was admitted to a hospital in serious condition, the sources said.
    
Family quarrel was said to be the reason behind the murder, police said.
