‘B’ig buddies

The grapevine suggests that producer Gajendra Singh has been trying his best to rope in Amitabh Bachchan to make an appearance for a few episodes in his show Chak De Bachche. The show is hosted by Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari and Roshni Chopra.

Incidentally, Manoj, who was a guest in many of Gajendra’s previous shows, was roped in due to his popularity in the Hindi heartland.

Now, that it has become a trend to get as many star attractions as possible in a reality show, Gajendra wants to get Big B as well.

 Manoj has earlier worked with Big B in the Bhojpuri film Ganga. “Both Manoj and Amitabh had a great time working in the movie and they hit it off really well. Since then they have been in constant touch through calls and SMS,” a source says.

 “Amitji is very fond of Manoj. Recently, an article was published on Manoj in a Mumbai paper and Amitji read it out on phone to him. This just speaks about the kind of rapport they share. Now, Gajendra wants Manoj to convince Big B to appear in the show. In all probability, Amitji will be appearing in the show soon,” the source adds.
 Gajendra confirms, “Everyone knows that Manoj shares a great rapport with Amitabh sir. We are very keen on having him on the show. Having the biggest icon of Bollywood would be great for our show. We all want his blessings. We are in talks, but nothing has been finalised as yet.”
