NEW YORK: Acting legend Diane Keaton used the f-word on the TV show 'Good Morning America'.

The actress was talking with the host Diane Sawyer about the time when she stole from a store in the early 70s and then went on to talk about Sawyer's looks, pagesix.com reports.

She said: "I honestly do not know why more hasn't been said about how beautiful you are. Those lips, I love them. I want lips like that. Then I wouldn't have worked on my f---king personality!"

Keaton then caught herself, stepped back and said, "Excuse me."

Sawyer quickly tried to smooth things out saying, "My mother is going to work on your personality with soap on your mouth" and closed the segment saying, "This is Diane Keaton who will be answering to the censors."

Keaton has stared in classics like 'The Godfather' series and 'Annie Hall'.
