On her re-entry in ‘Kasauti Zindagi Kay’
I wouldn’t know about stories of the show coming to an end. All I know is that I return as Devki. There’s no question of a new avatar. Yes, the show has taken a generation leap but I don’t really age. That’s the best thing about daily soaps (laughs).
On quitting ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’
I am not making a comeback in the show. It was a hard decision to make because I was emotionally attached to it.
My hubby (Vikram Hazra the international programming head of the Art of Living) helped me reach the decision that I had to move on. I want to do a weekly show, a talk show and a travel show.
On doing a Pakistani show
It’s six months since I shot for the Pakistani television show ‘Kabhi Na Kabhi’ (ARY).
I learnt a lot about their culture. They have short story stints, probably 26 episodes while here it’s a never-ending story.
Also, the tele-industry there is small as compared to our mammoth one. But our stars are very popular there.
On doing reality shows
I am open to a music-based reality show. However, I can’t do a ‘Bigg Boss’ because I can’t be locked up for three months with strangers. I wouldn’t be able to survive that. Also, I cannot open my life to public scrutiny.
On marriage
Marriage is highly recommendable. I complete a year of my marriage next month. The best part about being married is that you have someone else to decide and plan your future with.
And you are accountable to just that one person than to so many people. We have a good understanding and that gives us the space to do our own thing and yet be happy together.
