Police search slums to detect 'illegal' Bangladeshi migrants

LUCKNOW: In the wake of recent serial blasts in Jaipur, the district police on Tuesday conducted searches in slums in the old city where several Bangladeshi nationals were stated to be residing.
   
The searches were conducted as a security measure to check illegal activities, if any, being carried out from there, police said.
   
During the drive, police officials enquired about the identity of the slum residents besides asking them to inform about persons with suspicious activities.
   
"No one has been arrested, it was just a security drill in the wake of recent blasts in Jaipur", a senior official said.
