JAIPUR: The sketches of seven suspects released in connection with the Jaipur serial blasts have been withdrawn and fresh pictures will be made as a breakthrough eluded investigators even a week after the terror attack that left 65 persons dead.

According to Rajasthan Police's Additional Director General A K Jain, the sketches will be "revised" with the help of experts outside the state in an attempt to make them as accurate as possible.

Jain said the original sketches were drawn on the basis of memory of eyewitnesses and shopkeepers who sold bicycles to the terrorists behind the serial blasts last Tuesday. The death toll increased to 65 on Monday with two more men succumbing to their injuries.

"Normally sketches are based on memory so chances of error are high. Therefore we are trying to revise the sketches again and draw them again so that they are more accurate and any error is kept to the minimum," Jain told a TV channel.

On the basis of the sketches, a hotelier in Udaipur claimed he saw one of the suspects two days before the blasts. An Afghani national was even questioned by Delhi police after some persons living in his neighbourhood said he bore resemblance to one of the sketches.

Jain said ten cycles were used to trigger the blasts and therefore at least 10 persons are believed to be involved.

Police have got some clues but a clinching and definite lead to crack the case has eluded investigators.
