CHENNAI: The AIADMK will hold state-wide demonstrations in front of government offices on April 28, demanding that Chief Minister M Karunanidhi resign, owning moral responsibility for the reported tapping of telephones of opposition leaders and senior officials.
 
AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa said in a statement here that the telephone tapping episode had made a "mockery of democracy" and alleged that Karunanidhi was  ehaving like a "dictator".
   
She pointed out that former Karnataka Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde resigned after allegations of telephone tapping surfaced and also former US President Richard Nixon had to quit over the Watergate scandal
   
Likewise, Karunanidhi too should resign, she added.
