Youth beaten to death

BASTI: A youth was beaten to death by the family members of a five-year-old girl, who was allegedly raped by him, in the Basti district of Uttar Pradesh, police said.
    
Manoj Kumar (28) allegedly raped the minor girl last night in village Bhaisapandey under Munderwa police circle here, they said, adding that the family took revenge by beating Kumar with sticks and rods.
    
Police personnel have been deployed in the village to check any untoward incident as tension continues to prevail.
