INDORE: Following the arrest of 13 top SIMI leaders here, Madhya Pradesh police have intensified its vigil across the state to check activities of the banned organisation.
    
Police have intensified vigil in Malwa and Nemad regions, Indore, Ujjain, Khandwa and Burhanpur districts.
    
Intelligence agencies and police from several states were interrogating the arrested Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) leaders who are in police remand till April 11 and are kept at Armed Police Training College here under tight security.
    
Thirteen of top leaders of SIMI including some state chiefs were arrested on March 27 by Madhya Pradesh Police for allegedly being involved in weapons procurement and illegal financing of the outfit.
    
Among those arrested as part of a special police operation were SIMI leader in Madhya Pradesh, Safdar Nagori and his brother and chief of the operations in Andhra Pradesh Kamruddin.
