Former Karnataka Deputy CM M P Prakash and his supporters were formally inducted into the Congress in the presence of party in-charge of state affairs Prithviraj Chavan.
BANGALORE: Former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister M P Prakash and his supporters were on Sunday formally inducted into the Congress in the presence of party in-charge of state affairs Prithviraj Chavan.
Prakash along with former ministers including H S Mahadev Prasad, Sharanabasappa Darshanapur and Amergowda Bayyapura and some former MLAs who had quit the JDS a few weeks ago, joined the Congress at a function at the party office here.
They were welcomed into the party by KPCC President M Mallikarjuna Kharge and former Chief Minister N Dharam Singh.
Chavan urged party-men to work hard to bring the Congress back to power in the State in the coming assembly elections.
