Hyderabad medical student found dead under mysterious circumstances in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA: An Andhra Pradesh doctor pursuing his post-graduation in
Internal Medicine in Pennsylvania in the US was found murdered over the weekend, the fourth  Indian student to meet  a violent end in that country in the last
three months.

The body of Akkaldevi Srinivas (29), hailing from Korutla in Karimnagar District, was found in a pool of blood with stab wounds under mysterious circumstances on Saturday.

The victim’s father Anjaiah has left for the US to bring the body after the family received the shocking news on Sunday. The motive for the crime and the identity of the assailants was not immediately known.Srinivas parents in Korutla town in Karimnagar, said
they were informed about his killing late on Monday.

He was pursuing his studies for an MD certificate at the Scamtel Temple University, where he had completed his MS in 2002. He was a graduate of medicine from the Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad.

Srinivas was to return home in the next two months to set up his own practice in Karimnagar. He was also preparing to get married to his fiancé Jayashree to whom he had got engaged November last.

On February 25 Srinivas  had left his home to participate in an academic and medical conference at California but  his phone had gone dead since February 29. Anguished family members tried to alert  his friends and other relatives in California to know his whereabouts.
