RAJKOT: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said that the state government has recently constituted a 'Knowledge Commission' in order to boost skilled development that would help the manufacturing sectors.
  
Modi was speaking at the inaugural of Jyoti CNC's world class manufacturing, Research and Design Development facility last night.
  
The government is also planning to establish Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for automobile sector in the city, Modi said, adding the  Rajkot is turning in to a hub of Auto component ancillaries which caters number of huge Automobile manufactures.
  
Machine tool industry is the vital supporting industry of the manufacturing sector and is also the backbone of Indian Economy, the Chief Minister observed.
  
Speaking on the occasion Jyoti CNC Automation Chairman and Managing Director Parakramsinh Jadeja said machine tool consumption in India is growing at an impressive growth rate of 23 per cent.
  
The Company has recently acquired a French Machine Tool Manufacturing Company 'Haron'. ''The acquisition has opened the door for us to cater our high tech machines to very sophisticated and emerging Aerospace Industry,'' he said.
  
Haron has been supplying machine to Aerospace giants like Boeing, Airbus and even to NASA, Mr Jadeja stated.
  
''We have also established Technology Centres at various places such as Rajkot, Chennai and Pune where to train the students to bridge the gap of conventional technical syllabus and practical need of Industry when they start their professional career,'' he added.
