North Indian beaten up in Aurangabad

In yet another incident of aggression against north Indians, a group of nine unidentified persons mercilessly beat up factory worker Narendrasinh Bharatsinh.

MUMBAI: In yet another incident of aggression against north Indians, a group of nine unidentified persons mercilessly beat up factory worker  Narendrasinh Bharatsinh (28) as he was returning home after his night shift in the Chilkalthana MIDC area on Friday. He has been admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH).

According to Chikalthana MIDC police, Narendrasinh came to Aurangabad from Shejali village in Agra. He was staying in a rented house at Naregaon area of the city and working in a factory. When he was returning home after his shift, he met some unidentified persons who first asked his name and on hearing that he is a north Indian, beat him up brutally after covering his face with a cloth. They then fled in a Tata Sumo. His wife took him to GMCH. The police are on the lookout for the culprits.

Another incident took place in Waluj MIDC area on Wednesday night where a north Indian scrap-dealer, Ishwar Narayan Rai, was assaulted and his shop set on fire by four youths who belong to Chhava Sanghatna — an organisation of Maratha youths. The police identified the arrested as Kiran Bhanudas (24), Vijay Chandrashekhar Waskar (23), Raje Prahlad Taak (23) and Ravi Ashok Kalambkar (18).
