Poor facilities

The facilities at the Manuka Oval are very primodial, particularly for the print and electronic media. There are no communication facilities, no scorer for the media personnel and what's more, there is no exclusive enclosure for the visiting and Australian scribes.

The television commentators were put at a make-shift box and the senior commentators had to climb up a make-shift ladder to get into the commentary box. The radio commentators and the journalists were give a section of their local cricket office.

The Australian Capital Terriory runs the game in the national capital and hopes to be a Test centre soon. It would be a surprise if a Test is allotted to the venue. The Australian Cricket Media Association even lodged a written protest with CA on the poor facilities.
