Centre will not allow disturbance in Mumbai: Patil

GURDASPUR: Concerned over the recent incidents violence against North Indian settlers in Mumbai, Union Home Minister Shiv Raj Patil on Friday said that the Union Government would not allow anyone to disturb the law and order in the country.

Talking on the sidelines of a function in connection with the 22nd death anniversary of freedom fighter Parbodh Chander, Patil said that India is the country of all and nobody should disturb the peace and law and order.

"Anyone trying to disturb peace will do wrong," he said.

Without taking the name of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Chief Raj Thackeray, he said that the law would take its course if someone tried to create a ditch between the Indians.

Earlier speaking in the Communal Harmony day function, Patil said that though India  have different kinds of people who believe in different religions and culture and speak different languages but they remain Indians and they should maintain communal harmony which further strengthen the Unity and Integrity of the country.

The Union Home Minister also visited border village Chandu Wadala along with Punjab Congress Chief Rajinder Kaur Bhattal where he listened the grievances of the border farmers.

He had also held a meeting with the BSF officers.
