Modi stresses on use of new technology in courts

RAJKOT: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Friday stressed on the use of new technology in courts.
  
Speaking after inaugurating the newly constructed Rs 9 crore civil court building here, the Chief Minister said that the new technology would be helpful in the process of justice.
  
He said that the Gujarat Government has always adopted a positive approach towards infrastructural facilities for the court.
  
The state-of-the-art civil court building, where 13 different courts are going to function, will help in reducing the burden of pending cases.
  
He said that the functioning of fast track courts and evening courts is encouraging and hoped that during the golden year of the state, in 2010, nearly 24 lakh pending cases will be solved.
  
Mr Modi arrived here on Friday morning for the first time after assuming the Chief Minister's post for the third time and has a busy schedule ahead.
  
The Chief Minister will inaugurate the Wild Flower Garden on the outskirts of the city later in the day. The garden has a golf course, a pathway, an adventure walking way, a watchtower for bird watching and boating facilities at the lake adjoining the garden.
  
Before leaving for Gandhinagar, Mr Modi will also inaugurate the houses constructed for dalits and poor people and lay the foundation stone for some others at an adjoining site.
