ISLAMABAD: Four security personnel were killed and 25 others injured when a suicide bomber attacked a Pakistani military bus taking medical corps staff to work at RA Bazar in the garrison town of Rawalpindi early on Monday.

''Reportedly, a suicide bomber blew himself up near a security forces vehicle,'' a military statement said.

Local Deputy Superintendent of Police (Investigations) Rana Shahid said it was a suicide attack apparently carried out by a person riding a motorcycle.

''We have not yet found the head or any other part of the body of the suicide bomber, investigations have been launched,'' he said.

Another police official Basharat Abbasi said five people were killed and at least 25 injured. The condition of five of the injured was serious.
