Chief minister meets global honchos in Davos

Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on Saturday met heads of several companies from across the globe inviting them to invest in Maharashtra.

Many of them have sought an appointment to come to Mumbai for talks, an official press release issued from Mantralaya stated.

Deshmukh and other key officials are on a tour to Davos  to attend the world economic
forum.

While, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has given a presentation, heads of few other major companies in USA, Italy and Canada have invited Deshmukh to visit their facilities. There meet had representation from different sectors like aviation, rail transport, traffic equipment, textiles and leather goods, the release stated.
