'BJP confident of winning Himachal, Gujarat'

AMBALA: The BJP is confident of coming back to power in Gujarat as well as installing its government in Himachal Pradesh, senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj said on Saturday.
     
"The anti-incumbency factor in Himachal Pradesh and pro-Modi wave in Gujarat has indicated that the Congress has lost its credibility among the people," she said.
 
On Bhaujan Samaj Party's role in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh polls, the BJP leader said the social engineering formula of Mayawati's party had failed in both the states.
 
Swaraj also said the people of Uttar Pradesh did not wish to support the BSP. "In fact they wanted to teach a lesson to Mulayam Government and the BSP gained," she said.
 
Criticising the Congress Government in Himachal Pradesh of not implementing its poll promises, she said Virbhadra Singh has betrayed the people of Himachal.
