Kumble plays host to Kirsten, both teams at dinner

BANGALORE: Playing a perfect host, Indian captain Anil Kumble invited coach-designate Gary Kirsten and members of the home team as well as the visiting Pakistan side to his home for dinner on Friday night.
    
On the eve of the third and final cricket Test at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here, Kumble got a chance to celebrate his elevation as India's Test captain.
    
For the first time, the veteran leg-spinner will get the priviledge of leading the national team on his home ground when he comes out to toss with stand-in Pakistan skipper Younis Khan on Friday.
    
The new man in the hot seat of Indian cricket, Kirsten arrived here on Friday and drove straight to the team hotel.
    
After spending 45 minutes in the hotel, the former South African opener drove to Kumble's house for his first get-together after accepting the post of coach.
