NEW DELHI: In the AICC meet dedicated to 'Martrys' Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday said Congress will not not allow communal and divisive forces to gain upper hand in any part of the country, says Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

On the lines of the arrest of three JeM ultras on Friday in Lucknow he said that Government will continue to fight terrorism at all levels and in all places.
 
UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi had expressed earlier that the congress hasn't passed the women's reservation bill which is the only failure. Supporting her PM said Congress committed to ensuring women's reservation in Parliament and state assemblies.

Government giving special emphasis to 121 minority- concentration districts, he added.

The situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved 'significantly'," says the Prime Minister.
   
He also said that the plan outlay on education to be increased by five times in 11th five-year plan. Government hopes to spend Rs 2,50,000 crore on this sector.

"Government to take further steps to improve conditions of farmers," said PM Singh. 

Expressing his satisfaction on the performance of the government he added that the government has been successful in fulfilling most of the promises made in the National Common Minimum Programme,.

Rural India to witness revolutionary change if agriculture sector continues to grow at existing rate of four per cent, says the PM.

Economic growth has averaged around nine per cent per annum. Growth not restricted to few regions or sectors, says Prime Minister.

PM expects Rs 20 lakh crore investment in infrastructure.

Responsibility of states to ensure funds are properly utilised and outcomes match the outlays, says Prime Minister.

Through Old Age Pension Scheme, Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana and National Rural Health Mission, government will be able toprovide certain sense of economic security to crores of families, says the PM.

Constant endeavour to ensure that essential food items are available to the poor and the needy at a reasonable cost, says PM.

Government to expand National Rural Employment Guarantee Act to all rural districts from April one, 2008, says Prime Minister.

Terrorism and religious fundamentalism common challenges for India and Pakistan and it should be realised by them, says the Prime Minister.
