Ganguly enters into record books with his 100th wicket

GWALIOR: Sourav Ganguly on Thursday entered the record books by becoming only the third cricketer in the world to have claimed 100 wickets and score 10,000 runs in one-day internationals.
    
Ganguly achieved the feat when he removed Pakistani all- rounder Shahid Afridi by trapping him leg-before wicket in the fourth and penultimate ODI at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium here.
    
The former Indian captain is playing in his 310th ODI and has amassed 11,358 runs in his career.
    
This has been a happy hunting ground for the Bengal left-hander as on his last outing here, he had made 153 runs against New Zealand to be adjudged the best player.
    
Tendulkar in his 405 ODIs has claimed 154 wickets and scored 15,835 runs while Jayasuriya has 12,207 runs and 307 wickets from 403 ODI matches.
    
Paceman Zaheer Khan also became the fifth Indian bowler to claim 200 wickets in ODIs. Others are Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath, Ajit Agarkar and Kapil Dev.
