NEW DELHI: The Pakistani cricketers Saturday attended net practice, worked out at the gymnasium and enjoyed their evening before their scheduled departure Sunday for Guwahati for the first One-Day International (ODI) against India.

On Saturday morning, some of the Pakistan players had a media interaction and in the afternoon they had a long practice session at the Ferozeshah Kotla before hitting the stadium gymnasium as the day's final official assignment.

Overseen by coach Geoff Lawson, the players did batting and bowling practice and sharpened their fielding skills under Mohtashim Rashid, the fielding coach.

In between, the players signed a few autographs for the family members of the Delhi Police who escorted them inside the Kotla while the media had difficulty getting to watch the team practice.

The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) officials had to arrange the entry of media personnel inside the stadium.

In the evening, the players went out for a meal in batches, as there was no official dinner.

The five-match ODI series, which starts Monday, will be followed by three Tests.
