A Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant was killed and three suspected militants arrested in Ramban and Reasi districts of Jammu and Kashmir since last night, official sources said.

JAMMU: A Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant was killed and three suspected militants arrested in Ramban and Reasi districts of Jammu and Kashmir since last night, official sources said.
On a tip off, police and security forces jointly launched a search operation in Chamalwas area of Ramban district on Wednesday, they said.
In the gunbattle that followed, one militant Mehraj-ud-Din was killed, they said, adding, some arms and ammunitions were recovered from the spot.
Police also arrested three persons, suspected to have linked with Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit from Reasi district on Wednesday night, they said.
Meanwhile, one special police officer, Mohmmad Ashraf, was injured in a gunbattle when militants attacked a police post in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir last night, they said.
The militants were managed to flee from the spot, they added.
