Indian students complete week-long camp at US space centre

A group of 17 students from Karnataka are heading back home after finishing a one week programme at the US Space and Rocket Centre in Huntsville, Alabama.

WASHINGTON: A group of seventeen students from Karnataka are heading back home after finishing a one week programme at the US Space and Rocket Centre in Huntsville, Alabama.
   
The students from Coorg Public School, in the age group of 12-17 years, experienced low gravity, moon walk, mission scientists at the camp besides being able to interact with mission specialists and flight director.
   
"Students shared their experiences at the camp with other international students and benefits of the programme has instilled motivation in the fields of science and technology," said the Community Development Officer at the Embassy of India Arathi Krishna.
   
The Coorg Public School students are a larger part of a group from Karnataka schools who are winding up their programme at Alabama.
