LAHORE: Regardless of how Inzamam-ul-Haq fares in his final Test match, Pakistan Cricket Board are all set to give a rousing farewell to the former captain with one of the stands at the Gaddafi Stadium to be named after him.

A grand function will be organised in Inzamam's honour at the end of the ongoing Test and he is also expected to be rewarded substantially in financial terms by the PCB.

It will award a special gold medal to him at the function after the match and has invited former Test players to attend the event.

The Board has already dedicated the Test match as 'The Inzamam Test'.

The PCB will name an enclosure after him in the Gaddafi stadium.

"We are trying our best to give Inzamam a befitting farewell and we hope to have a big crowd for the occasion. He has given great service to Pakistan cricket," PCB Chairman Nasim Ashraf said.

Unofficial reports have said Inzamam will get one million rupees as his farewell gift from the Board.

However, Inzamam's 120th and final Test has not gone well for him so far as he was dismissed for 14 in the first innings as South Africa took a 151-run lead.

He now needs six runs in his last Test innings to surpass Javed Miandad's tally of 8,832 in 124 Tests and become Pakistan's highest runscorer in Test cricket.
